Beneath My Bones
I miss the feel of your shoulders and the way the line of your body meets mine as if it was designed and meant to be that way. You were here with me and I was there with you. Time passed us by and you weren’t by my side, you were nowhere near me. This distance separated our hands. I miss every inch of you; the dip in your collar bone, the rise of your chest from your steady breathing, the strength in your legs and arms –so subtle yet so apparent when you hold me tight. I miss the way your mind works when you’ve captured an apparent idea. I miss the way your soul lights up mine. Please come to me and give me your love. Please come home and give me a smile.
